Galahs

Australian parrots.  They have a lovely call, which sounds like ppl chuckling, though different to a kookaburra's.  Not as numerous in this part of Oz as the cockatoos but there are still many around.

This pair obviously love each other.  See the the one being groomed has its eyes closed in ecstasy.

BTW, it's pronounced gaLAAAH, not GAHla.
