Morals

An interesting and polemical post by Michael-in-Norfolk about the Republicans and their moral "crusades".  It's odd how many of these "Christians" worship wealth.

You said, "It's odd how many of these "Christians" worship wealth"

Not really. It was part of the development of protestantism that wealth became associated with being a good Christian. Puritans and their ilk saw prosperity as proof of God's approbation.

That there are lines like "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go to heaven" is just one of hundreds of contradictions in the Bible itself.. that people might be able to come up with even more contradictions on their own really is not that odd.
