I've been going to Spanish classes for a while now.  They're great fun.  I'm almost at the stage where I can read Spanish at sight.  But I still struggle with conversation.

This says, "Don't leave for tomorr....".

Pineapple Pavilion

The 53 ft (16.1 m) tall Pineapple pavilion in Dunmore, Scotland, built in 1761 by John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore as a birthday present for his wife. The pineapple was constructed after Murray's return from America in 1776.

Linguistics




A  linguistics professor was lecturing his class the other day. “In
English,” he said, “a double negative forms a positive. However, in some
languages, such as Russian, a double negative remains a negative. … But
there isn’t a single language, not one, in which a double positive can
express a negative.” A voice from the back of the room piped up, “Yeah,
right.”

Personally I like thongs, boxers, y-fronts and swimwear as underwear.  But then I'm odd.  I'm wearing a sky-blue thong today.
