Edward Steichen's Flatiron building

This extraordinary photograph (taken in 1905) of the Flatiron building in New York (since demolished, I believe) is owned by the National Gallery of Victoria.  Steichen was a painter as well as a photographer, and it shows.  Impressionist photography.

Breathtaking, not so?
